Our goal is to make your shopping experience enjoyable and easy and to assure your complete satisfaction with your purchase. 30 Day No Question Return Policy

Doesn’t quite work in your yard? Changed your mind? If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of receipt for full credit. Please initiate a return by emailing: onlinstore@backyardbirdfeeder.com

Please note:  Only the purchase price of the product is refunded. You are responsible for return shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and insuring the item as well.

Please note that food products – seed, seed cakes, suet & mealworms – can only be returned within 30 days of receipt.

Credit will be issued in the same manner that the original purchase was made. Credit will be issued upon receipt of returned item(s).


Our online store accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and The Backyard Bird Feeder Gift Cards.

The billing address you provide must match the billing address on file with the financial institution that issued the card. If credit card, PayPal or Gift Card authorization fails, we reserve the right to cancel the sale.

Defects, Damages and Warranties

An item is considered defective if it is undamaged but does not function properly. Please contact us as above for replacement and/or return instructions.

A damaged item is a product that is broken or parts of the product are broken. This typically occurred in shipping as we carefully inspect all outgoing items. Please follow the above Return procedure for replacement, parts and/or return as applicable to best resolve the situation for you. If a package is received that is obviously damaged in shipping, please refuse delivery. If damage is discovered after opening the package, please retain all shipping materials and contact us as above for resolution.

For Warranty claims, please see our warranty page for applicable warranty coverage. If the product is covered under warranty, please follow the Return procedure above.

Limits of Responsibility and Liability

The Backyard Bird Feeder’s maximum liability is the purchase price of the item, regardless of cause. Consequential damage, loss of use or related damages are not covered in any manner at any time. We are not responsible for user damage or loss of parts during the use of any product.


The Backyard Bird Feeder ships via UPS, FedEx or USPS.

We ship only to the 48 contiguous states. We do not ship APO or FPO.

Description and/or Price Changes

Prices, descriptions and pictures on our website are subject to change without notice. We are not responsible for any inadvertent errors. If any product you purchase is not as described or priced differently than the price at the time of order, please contact us within 30 days at onlinestore@backyardbirdfeeder.com so we can make it right.

When placing an order, you agree to the price and terms indicated on our website at the time you placed the order. Price differences related to future or past prices or promotions are not refundable.

Errors on Our Website

While every effort is made to assure the accuracy of our site, errors may occur. When an error is discovered, it will be corrected as soon as reasonably possible. The Backyard Bird Feeder, Inc. reserves the right to revoke any stated offer, cancel orders, correct pricing or description errors, inaccuracies or omissions in any stated price, offer or description, including after an order has been submitted and whether or not payment has been processed. In the event payment has been processed, The Backyard Bird Feeder will promptly issue credit to your account.
